Healthy lives for all (through transformative technologies)
P4TT targets, as a priority, transformative technologies that prevent disease and allow for taking better care of people in their homes and communities. Dr Veerle Vandeweerd discusses in her article how technologies such as artificial Intelligence, blockchain,3D printing, telehealth platforms and other connectivity technologies are critical for achieving the health SDGs and how the Covid 19 epidemic has catalyzed faster uptake.
Dr Lieve Fransen presented at the G-STIC conference in 2018 how our destiny is not geography but connectivity and how technologies can impact the SDGs.
P4TT also targets on ground-breaking biodegradable products to sanitise hands, homes, hospitals and schools, as well as the provision of easy access to safe drinking water, toilets, basic hygiene and healthy food.
